Why Choose Us? We’re Passionate About Caring for People
At Hearts at Home, we believe in making a positive difference each day by putting our hearts into all that we do, whether it’s cooking a delicious meal for a client, driving to a doctor’s appointment, or even running errands. It is our calling to serve older and disabled adults with the highest possible quality Overland Park home care, with compassion, responsiveness, and advocacy to help them live safely and enjoy the best life possible wherever they call home. Hearts at Home holds a Kansas Home Health Agency Class B Operating License. Our license ID number is T-014-046.
In 2009, Hearts at Home was founded by local husband and wife team, Mark and Leslie Schmitz. As active community members and senior care providers, they built the agency around the belief that the only way to provide the very best care is to take the time to get to know and really listen to the people you serve and those who love them. Mark and Leslie created a culture of reassurance that extends to all who know and work with the Hearts at Home team. At Hearts at Home, our goal is to help our clients stay safe wherever they call home, while helping them maintain their individuality, independence, dignity, and connection with others.
Hearts at Home seeks to provide the highest level of service, expertise, and safety to the older adults, disabled persons, families, and community we serve through compassionate, personalized, reliable, and attentive Overland Park home care.
Advanced Caregiver Training and Certification
When it comes to hiring caregivers, we believe that our clients deserve only the best. At Hearts at Home, we take proactive steps to ensure that our Overland Park home care team is extensively trained and certified so that they can provide top quality care, confidently, compassionately, and professionally.
To fulfill this commitment, we have partnered with the Institute for Professional Care Education, a nationally renowned training and certification agency for caregiving professionals, to offer custom training programs to all of our caregivers.
Our unique program offers three levels of training for our care staff:
- Level 1, “Certified”, incorporates a variety of caregiver training tools to ensure skills stay sharp.
- Level 2, “Specialized”, incorporates training in Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and end of life care.
- Level 3, “Master Caregiver”, incorporates training in Parkinson’s disease, first aide, leadership, etc.
Keeping Client & Caregiver Happiness Close to Our Hearts
At Hearts at Home, regular feedback from our clients and our staff members allows us to improve our processes and services and helps us provide a better experience for our clients and caregivers. To obtain true, unbiased feedback, we work with Home Care Pulse, an independent satisfaction management company, to continually evaluate our progress and make the adjustments necessary to grow our business.
