home care assistance Overland Park KSOur Story

In 2009, Hearts at Home was founded by a local husband and wife team. As community members and senior care providers, they built the agency on the belief that the only way to provide the best care is to really get to know and listen to the people you serve and those who love them. They created a culture of reassurance that extends to all who know and work with our team. Our goal is to help our clients stay safe wherever they call home while helping them maintain individuality, independence, dignity, and connection with others.

Our Mission

Hearts at Home seeks to provide the highest level of service, expertise, and safety to the older adults, disabled persons, families, and community we serve through compassionate, personalized, reliable, and attentive senior care in Kansas City and the surrounding communities.

Kansas City Regional Home Care Association logoHearts at Home is a proud member of the Kansas City Regional Home Care Association (KCRHCA), an organization that works closely with state and national associations to advocate for home care recipients and issues that benefit and protect them. KCRHCA believes that in-home care is an essential element in the continuum of quality health care and works to enhance and build upon our strong regional home care community.

Our Leadership

John Monty, Executive Director

John Monty

John understands first-hand the importance of being able to help families with their care needs. He personally witnessed the relief that home care services provided to his parents as they cared for his sister, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, John brings a diverse management skillset and deep understanding of the importance of working together with clients and their families. He has served as President of the Kansas City Regional Homecare Association and as a member of the Medicare Advisory Board for Good Shepherd Hospice. Additionally, he has volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City. John earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas. In his spare time, you’ll find him on the basketball court or lacrosse field, where he serves as an official for both high school and college teams.

Yolanda Courtney, Care Coordinator

A nurturer by nature, Yolanda is passionate about caring for older adults as if they were her own parents or grandparents and ensuring each individual’s happiness and safety. Yolanda has a particular knack for helping uplift clients and showing them the love and care that all seniors deserve, and she understands the importance of providing families with peace of mind. Yolanda has been a CNA and Home Health Aide since 2000, providing hands on care, and she has also served an assisted living coordinator.
